If your payment is late
What happens to renewals, reminders, and your environment if an invoice is not paid in time.
Nothing is switched off the moment a date passes. Here is the actual sequence.
Seven days before a renewal
You get an email telling you the renewal is coming, with the amount and the date. Nothing to do unless something is changing.
Three days before
A second, shorter reminder.
The period ends
The next invoice is issued automatically and emailed to you. Your service continues.
24 hours before the invoice expires
A reminder that it is about to lapse.
The invoice expires
The invoice is marked expired and you are told. Do not pay an expired invoice — raise a ticket and we will issue a fresh one with a new window.
Your subscription is then shown as overdue. Your environment keeps running at this point; being overdue is a signal, not a shutdown.
Coming back from overdue
Once a payment is confirmed, your subscription goes back to active. The new period is added on the end of the one you already paid for, so paying late does not cost you days you had already bought.
If you need more time
Raise a ticket before the invoice expires. It is much easier to arrange before than after.
